S6 Special Guest Interview #66: P2 of Donald's Interview

Our Special Guest is an educator, a musician who sings the songs he writes and co-author of Born of Nothing and I'm talking about Dr. Donald Williams.  At the center of his life are his Christian faith, his family, and his belief that education and discipline can change the course of a family for generations. He believes strongly that where a person starts in life does not have to determine where they finish.

As co-author of Born of Nothing: From White Trash and Lintheads to Purpose Across Generations, Williams writes not just from research, but from lived experience — telling the story of poverty, faith, education, hard work, and generational change in the American South.

In the 2nd part of our episode, he will answer where we left off the last time and that is how was God able to help him grieve the loss of his dad. He also shares a few of the songs that he wrote and sung and why he wrote them and that also includes the song that he wrote about Barnabas.

Donald also shares with us his journey of being an author and he started it by sharing about his friend he wrote the book with like when they met, and the similarities between them and when they started working together writing their personal stories in their book. He shares what he and his friend hope to get by reading their book.
